2006 Messier Marathon from CPO using the Mallincam PRO

This marathon was completed on the night of March 26 to March 27, 2006.  I used the Mallincam PRO and a Meade LX200 10" with the f/3.3 focal reducer.  Video capture was done using a Sony Handycam.  Each image consists of 30 shots of 2 seconds each.  The stacking was done using Registax.  From my location, it is impossible to view M30 during the marathon.  All other 109 Messier objects were imaged.

2004 Messier Marathon from CPO using the Mallincam 1

This marathon was completed on the night of March 13 to March 14, 2004.  I used the Mallincam 1 and a Meade LX200 10" with the f/3.3 focal reducer.  Video capture was done using a Sony Handycam.  Most images consist of 40 shots of 0.5 second each.  A few had as little as 20 shots.  The stacking was done using Registax.  From my location, it is impossible to view M30 during the marathon.  All other 109 Messier objects were imaged.  The Mallincam 1 came out in 2002.  It did produce good views of open clusters and globular clusters but was not quite sentitive enough to reveal details in nebulas and galaxies compared to what the Mallincam Hyper can do.
